Valentine's party

In this small community, there are really the same parties for different occassions. There is only one suitable location in terms of capacity, which is really outdated in 60's decor (this is where my wedding reception was). As well as the cookie cutter parties are the guests. They are the same group of people, which means you can't wear the same dress you wore for the Christmas party or the New Year's party, because they were all there! This year most younger couples went to a different party (we weren't invited) so when we went to the typical party it was like a senior's cruise. The music was slow love songs, the decor was with plastic roses and hearts and our table was wondering why we went there. But luckily, alchohol (the social lubricant) helped us out and we started to dance and joke and ended up having a great time. We also bought some raffle tickets (all the funds went to charity) and we won an iron! Happy Valentine's!!
